An Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, installing, and maintaining systems that measure and control industrial processes such as pressure, flow, temperature, and level. They ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency in industries like oil & gas, power generation, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.

📌 Key Roles & Responsibilities
System Design & Development

Create specifications for sensors, transmitters, analyzers, and control valves.

Develop P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring schedules.

Installation & Commissioning

Oversee installation of instruments and integration with PLC/DCS systems.

Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).

Calibration & Maintenance

Perform loop checking, calibration, and troubleshooting of instruments.

Ensure compliance with safety standards (SIS/SIL).

Process Optimization

Use automation software (PLC, SCADA, DCS) to improve efficiency.

Collaborate with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers.

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain lifecycle documentation, inspection reports, and standards.

Ensure adherence to ISA/IEC standards and regulatory requirements.
