Seeking experienced Structural Steel Checker with strong expertise in Tekla Structures and structural steel detailing standards. The ideal candidate will review and verify 3D models, shop drawings, and erection drawings to ensure accuracy, compliance with AISC codes, and constructability. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and excellent coordination with project teams, engineers, and fabricators.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Experience and Technical Expertise
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in structural steel detailing and checking, including Tekla Structures.
• In-depth knowledge of AISC detailing standards, AWS weld symbols, and fabrication tolerances.
• Strong understanding of fabrication, erection, and tolerance requirements to ensure practical constructability.

2. Model and Drawing Review
• Review and verify 3D Tekla models, shop drawings, erection drawings, and GA drawings for accuracy and compliance with design and contract requirements.
• Check connection details, bolt assemblies, weld requirements, and fit-up tolerances.
• Perform clash checks and coordinate interfaces between steel, concrete, and mechanical elements.
• Verify BOM consistency and ensure alignment between models, drawings, and fabrication data.
• Validate CNC, DSTV, and NC export data for fabrication accuracy.

3. Coordination and Documentation
• Mentor and guide modelers and detailers to ensure adherence to company and client standards.
• Coordinate effectively with engineers, project managers, and fabricators to resolve technical and design issues.
• Prepare RFIs, revision tracking, and project documentation accurately.
• Maintain checklists, review logs, and approval notes for quality assurance.
• Track drawing revisions and ensure proper version control.

4. Technical Knowledge and Skills
• Ability to interpret both Structural and Architectural drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with surface finishes, paint notes, and part marking requirements.
• Knowledge of material grades, shop and field bolt distinctions, and fabrication practices.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address technical and coordination issues promptly.

Qualifications
• Diploma or Degree in Civil / Mechanical/Structural Engineering
• Minimum 4 years of experience in structural steel checking and detailing.
